[FS]-ONE WEEK ONLY- Make a purchase and I'll DONATE $20 towards CANCER research!!!!

Re: [FS]-Sick of looking at this stuff make an offer I cant refuse, bundle for DISCOU

Totally off topic, and I'm only mentioning this because my OCD keeps bugging me about it every time I see the thread title pop up...

...you know the title doesn't quite work, eh?

"Sick of looking at this stuff make an offer I cant refuse..."

You're sick of looking at it, which suggests that you're anxious to get it sold. But then you ask people to make you an offer you can't refuse. An offer someone can't refuse usually refers to an offer that is unexpectedly high, or above what you were expecting.

The two parts of your title don't make logical sense together.

In any event, this was a, thread derail, and I'm sorry for it, but now my OCD can rest :)

You've got some great items in this thread, and I'm sure they'll get scooped up and end up at good homes soon. Best of luck!

ONE WEEK SPECIAL. Make a purchase over $60 and I'll donate $20 of that to a Cancer Center (Dana Farber and/or St. Jude's)!!! If everything sells I will make a larger donation since I don't need the money and its going towards a good, scratch that, AMAZING CAUSE!

Everything sold is like "bonus" cash to me. I dont need the cash per say but it would be awesome to sell everything so I am going to give back to places that help save my life!

EDIT: And I agree RDH, never really thought of it that way especially since I go to swap meets frequently and everyone always says make me an offer I cant refuse. To me, I take that as 'I really dont want to take it home so make me any reasonable offer that I cant say no to the money' as in $xxx is better than what I started with so I cant refuse that offer. I dont really take it as 'oh I wanted $40 and they offered $60, sucka :na:' but yes I can see how some people may take it as that. Guess its all in how you are used to using the saying......

I thought of that but no. The point of this is to raise money for a good cause. Even of whomever buys the stuff says they will donate, there is no way to ensure this. By me taking $20 from my sales and donating it, I know for a fact it will be done.

I dont believe there is a price on my cube. Im open to offers on the cube and optics. I wasnt sure where to find what the cube was worth or if there are some better than others so I just ebay'd it and when I did it they were all over $100

Edit: Guess I did say asking $35 so sounds like im spot on then.

I dunno, I find the whole baked-in discount-donation situation rather lame. How do we know that you're going to donate anything either? As far as we know, it's just a false advertisement and you're just going to pocket the money and goodwill. After all, if you really wanted to "get it done" you could just donate the money yourself.

Yes, for the cube's I]maximum[/I] value. Starlight appears to know this with his offer.

You know thats the great thing, you dont have to purchase anything if you dont want to and since you even question me I wouldnt sell anything to you to begin with. My story of battling cancer has been on the forum for almost a year now so for you to question that and me is a d*ck move. Frankly screw you for even questioning someone who tells you they had cancer and treatment for it, absolute DBag move
