I didn't do anything with that black MXDL...
It's still hooked in my pants pocket for checking pupils as i've already lost the LED pen i got from glen
there really isn't anything to do with it. if it did work as a host, there isn't enough room for a heatsink..just slide the aixiz module right in...
That's why i was curious about direct driving a 445nm diode with a 10440 battery.

The slim MXDL might be a good host for the 20mW or 80mW 635 diodes that have been going around.
I got one of those LED pens from Glen but I think the battery died on me. Was a pretty neat unit though.

Woa. Cool kit. If I wasn't broke ATM you'd be adding another thing to the other hosts I ordered. Might have to pick one of these up on payday for the 635 diode I ordered....

Oh I dunno, around 10.
I may finish them off with new sinks that look like the one above, but are made to fit an NJG-18 driver....so you jsut pop the driver into it's little step.

lol, well not unless you want to pay a lot extra. deep and skinny fins take forever to make.
The kits aren't for sale yet, probably a couple weeks.

. That's all I needed to know. I just wanted to make sure I was gonna get a shot at this cool host. I always make my own hosts and sinks, but this is a really unique design. I saw it and said "I gotta get one of those!". Take your time, we all know how busy you are. I am eagerly awaiting my pm when the time does come. :beer::beer::thanks:
