You might want to try to make a round heatsink for them.
i make them for my drivers to heatsink them inside a round hole.
i sell them for 2.50$
but they are for 12mm not for what ever the inside of the aixiz is.
 
Looks like a 117/317 family regulator. Good ole DDL at 1.8A?

Gotcha -

I'm trying to find a linear that can run 12x diodes at 600ma from two cells.
 
whats needed to drive a 12x diode?
if you need a low v drop is 0.3 to 0.5V enough? (only 0.5 at around 1.6-2A)

Well, that's why I ordered 100 instead of 1000.

Now that I've tested them, I can make the "big" order.
