No problems mate, and thanks :) Feel free to use any of those photos to promote your host in any way, shape or form. If you do so, credit would be nice but definitely not required. Thanks again man!

Hi Jay,

The kit arrived yesterday, everything safe and sound, well packed! Both the DYI Green and Pocket Mini are amazing pieces! Unfortunately I am still waiting for Modwerx' blu ray diode to arrive, so the Pocket Mini has still to wait to be finalized. But The DYI Green is in full operation with a 100mW O-Like module in it. Thank you very much Jay, it was a pleasure to do business with you. Please don't forget me once you have stocks of the Stainless Steel 10440 again because that's gonna be my next order! One happy customer.

Greets,

Yes!

This kit offers good heatsinking for your module, and very easy assembly...

The first post of this thread is a 'picture tutorial' of the assembly.

There, you will also find links to where you can get your 12mm green module.

If you are new to lasers, please read up on eye protection and safety...

ok thnx for the info.

as of today (march 22nd) ive got enough money to buy it. (im 16 yea!!)

2 questions:

1. are you able to focus this laser? or do you still need a extrenal lens like an magnifying glass?

2. what is the By-pass the switch wire used for?

The green modules have a fixed focus. You will not be focusing them. The lens is glued in place...

The DPSS green modules have a very thin beam, and in my opinion, if you try to set one up for focusing, by removing the fixed lens, and using an adjustable lens, the results are not good. (IMO)

The modules come with a momentary side button to turn the laser on. Since you will be mounting the module into a host, which has it's own switch, you must bypass the side button on the module. Then the host switch becomes the 'on / off'...

For fitting this host, they will all fit.

For brightness visually, yes. There is a difference. That said, you will still have a giant light saber in the night sky with 50mW's of green...

With 150mW's, it will also light matches and stuff...

O-like has been good for buying 'cheap' modules...

Just remember, that they are cheap modules. Quality modules cost much more...

Most people find o-like to be very good for the price!

I found a module on O-Like that is the same exact size as the links you provided. It is 200mW but would it work?

That is correct...

Any standard 12mm module will fit.

Nice to know that o-like has their 200mW module back in stock!
