FS: DIY Green Kit! Host, Heatsink - Easy Assembly!

cracked, I am sending your DIY Green kit today. (Monday)

Hope you like it!

I do! Super quick, simple, solid assembly.

I put a wimpy pot-modded DX module in there for now, but I'm trying to hold out for a bit just in case that 250mW o-like module rumor comes true...

I doubt it the way their 200mW 12mm modules are turning out, but I would be one of the first to buy if they did. I would probably recommend an $135 200mW module for now.

hey jayrob
been reading this post and am interested in the diy green kit, with the kaleidescope bit
how much would that come to?

* DIY Green kit - $75
* Kaleidoscope tip - $34
* Shipping - $6

Out of U.S. buyer assumes responsibility at that price. It should not be a problem though... (I would mark the package as a gift, with a description of 'LED Flashlight' with a low value of $15)

Just send me a PM when your ready! :)

these come without laser modules so it should be no problem getting into australia hey?

how much for the cheap version with the original torch cover thingy?

cheers

I have not had any problems shipping anywhere. It is not a laser, but just a flashlight with some 'aluminum bushings'...

Not illegal to sell anywhere in the world. But I put the shipping disclaimer in there for out of U.S. because there is no way to track the package out of the U.S. unless you pay a ridiculous amount for shipping.

If you did not want the custom front piece, but wanted to save $20 bucks, I could drill out the reflector as shown in the first post, and you could use the flashlight glass lens in the front.

But I only offered this when somebody complained about the price. I really do not recommend the glass lens. It will take away a little power from your module (5 or 10%), and cause some reflection as well...

Crazy Jay, just to let you know that I shipped your DIY Green kit today. (Saturday)

I forgot that you post messages on the threads. I know I'll love it ;)

Thanks for drilling out the front piece too

No problem...

I drilled out the reflector as you asked, but I don't really recommend this option. I only offered it because there was a person that was complaining about the price. So without the custom front piece and dust cap, I could cut the price...

That said, you may be able to get a water proof green build! :cool:

But first test the host without the module and battery installed...

Cloudstrike, I sent your DIY Green kits today. (Tuesday)

Your kaleidoscope tip too...

Thanks!

Got it and assembled it Jay. Works perfect. I used the 200mw old style from 0-like. Runs fine on a CR123 and very bright. Blindingly bright. Extremely thin beam too. It stings on the skin and smokes immediately. I was able to solder a wire over the switch without messing it up. Your kits are better than what most companies are selling out there. All metal is the way to go. An easy and fun kit

Just a quick question about the soldering to bypass the switch: is this required or is it possible to leave it? I never really got the point of bypassing it.

The module won't work unless the little momentary switch on the driver board is pressed... (or by-passed)

When you by-pass it, as shown in the picture (1st post), it is just like having the switch pressed at all times.

So this allows you to then operate the module using the host switch, which is in the tail cap...
