I can sell you the heatsink and custom front piece if you already have the host and can modify the pill yourself if that's what your asking...

Yours will ship today! In about 4 hours or so...

I have some other things to take care of, and then I will be fitting yours with the Tritium and making the parts.

But it will ship today for sure. Let me know how you like it! :)

Sweet huh?

That nice machined slot to mount it into... I'm surprised that there is not more interest in the Tritium...

Re: FS: DIY Green Kit! Host, Heatsink - Easy Assem

Hi Jayrob,
I purchased one of these great hosts from a member that had previously purchased from yourself.
I was was wondering about IR filters.
Any available options or recommendations?
I noticed that there is space at the top of the custom peices for on to be hidden inside.
Thanks,
Peng

Nova sells a 10mm X 10mm IR filter. Nice and thin.

It would fit if the corners were trimmed or cut. Then you could just glue it inside the custom front piece...

Great thanks Jayrob,
I just checked their site.
Nova lasers is in Canada too!
Maybe I can pick it up to avoid the shipping!

Good deal...

They are kind of expensive from Nova, but it is a good quality filter, and thin too.

You can get an IR filter from Optotronics for really cheap, but it is a larger one that is 'thick'. It would not work for this build...

Re: FS: DIY Green Kit! Host, Heatsink - Easy Assem

I might consider getting this build, it seems to be very solid and well made.  ;)  My only question is about using 18650 batteries.  I have a few and it would make good use of them, but they have a voltage of about 4 when fully charged.  I know this would not be a problem with a blue ray diode and a driver, but for a green, is there a possibility of burning out the laser?  Is there enough room to add a circuit that would limit the voltage, or is a simple resistor the best option?

Re: FS: DIY Green Kit! Host, Heatsink - Easy Assem

This host is designed for an 18650 battery, but in this DIY Green modification, there is not room for the 18650 because of the length of the o-like modules...

With this modification, you will be using a 3.0 volt CR123 primary, or a 3.6 volt RCR123 rechargeable. (4.2 at full charge)

The modules seem to hold up very well with the RCR123 rechargeable batteries, but probably for best longevity for the modules, the 3.0 volt CR123 primaries would be better...
