I have been successful in getting several units into Australia. However, that is NOT guaranteed. I will take some extra steps to disguise the nature of the unit (and ship it without the battery), but a knowledgeable and resourceful customs agent could figure it out.

Also, the true nature and value of the unit cannot be listed in the import/customs form

isnt that kind of risky on your end daguin...legally? I was under the impression that it was but I have never fooled around with sending these things through customs.

does anyone know why the diode starts to flash? it will not stay constant after like 10 seconds. its not hot either.??

okay that sounds about right because the store bought batteries are only 3.0v and the one daguin sent with me is a 3.7v. Do you know where i could find more of them? and how long does the battery last on a full charge?

Also i bought a charger today that is rated for the 3.0v c123 batteries. will that work without harming my 3.7v battery?

Hi, I have received the Dorcy. Impressive, very bright. The beam is clearly seen in a lighted room. At night the beam is very beautiful. I have also burned CD, very fast, much faster than my 200mw 532nm rayfoss.
Although the lens out of focus, with ease, since the screw is a bit loose. And will solve it somehow.
I am also very happy with my new laser.
tlanzetta, the lithium battery (rechargeable) is a 16,340 (3.7 v) can be purchased at DX in focalprice on ebay ...

People have successfully used Teflon tape around the lenses threads to solve that problem.
Just be careful that you don't get any bits that might be cut off onto the diode.
