hey jay,

received my two 405-g1 lenses a few days ago, thank you a lot for the fast shipment and the datasheet!
quick test, my phr-803t went from 128mw up to 166mw!
..and now it stings skin, even when collimated to an unfocused beam!

happy with it, thank you a lot!

I have to say, when you came out with this lens I thought there was no way I would buy one at that price. Not for a lense. But Now that I have one I see how effective it really is. 28% is a lot! I love this lens. And fully endorse it.

What is the best way to remove the retaining ring from the metal lens nut? Is there something that will dissolve the glue holding it in place?

In my opiniion, the best way is to buy the assembly from me and let me do it for you!

But I guess I'm kind of partial...

Use heat.

I thought so, but it didn't seem to work...

I don't want the whole lens mod, I just want the retaining ring loosened so I can take them apart and put my own lenses in. I'd want 5-10 of them... How much would you sell them for?

For the machined out assembly with AixiZ focus ring, custom spacer and threaded retaining ring without the optic, they would be $27 dollars ea.

This picture shows the parts in the order of assembly...

Shipping would be $3 dollars for a package of 4, and add a dollar per each 2 more. (I have my PayPal fees built into my shipping and packaging)

I think you misunderstood... All I'm looking for is the complete aixiz glass assembly with the retaining ring loosened. I can get them for $4 each, but I can't seem to loosen the retaining ring.
