I found the problem.the lens is to tall.it doesn't even come close to focusing until it gets near the bottom of the module.the lens that came in the laser is a few threads shorter than the 405 lens.I'll definitely have to ship it back to you for some modifying.

Ok... Sounds like it is a Sure module, and the lens cannot screw down far enough into the module.

I will talk to you when I get back. I am coming back early, on the 20th. I can modify the lens nut to fit a Sure module...

The lens fits perfectly into the Sure module and my laser burns better than it ever has.:thanks:

I have just purchased http://www.o-like.com/b2b_cpinfo.asp?id=971 will the glass lense increase the power of this laser? will it be compatible? I also just pruchased an aixiz 5mw thing when i place my diode in it and make my laser will this lense work with it?:thinking:

About the laser (new style dilda), I just modified a special Meredith glass lens assembly specifically for that laser. It will increase it's power by at least 20%. See here:

The Meredith glass lens mod shown there is $57 dollars plus $3 dollars shipping.

About your other question, As long as it is an AixiZ module. These lens modifications will thread right in.

For red - Meredith glass is best (20% increase vs AixiZ acrylic - back opened)
For blu-ray - 405-G-1 (26% to 28% increase vs AixiZ acrylic - back opened)

If it is a Sure module, I can modify the nut to fit the Sure module as well...
