It would probably be best to put the aperture stop not between the LD and lens (as with the standard Aixiz) but in front of the lens. That way, the diameter would be greater, so it would be easier to handle (alignment) and there would be less chance for degradation of divergence; also it would be easy to swap stops with different diameters. You might even have one that's not like a flat washer, but conical (with the tip cut off), so any reflection would be to the sides of the module instead of back towards the diode.leukoplast said:A good way to test how much is being blocked/reflected back is to make a mod for your lens and just do some power comparison measurements.
