FS: $25 - 532nm >50mW overspec pen

Thanks, will do :)
It took a bit more for that effect though, had to scrape and sand a lot to get it just right.

(I guess i'll just have to get another module for my laser gun then, since I put all I had into pens now. lol)

effort and time will get you a better product which means better reviews from buyers which means more sales. may seem like a pain now but in the long run it will be worth it for you.

Sure is, PM me

All gone for now, thanks, hope yall have fun :)

I'll be working on a new pen host design soon, may or may not work out. I'll make a new thread for those though.

Jakeyboii:

Take a cheap ebay pointer, remove the innards, insert a Fasttech 532nm Module, and touch it up....alternatively, contact Jayrob for his pen kit. 17 dollars gets you everything you need except a module I believe.

sounds simple enough, i've seen jayrobs pen host looks so good i might do that once i sort my paypal out! thanks

Yeah, It's not that difficult to DIY these, It just takes a few hours time and some patience...
At least the way i'm doing it. You can throw one together and make it work in about 5 minutes with scotch tape and popsicle sticks if you wanted to, but it wouldn't be as durable or look as nice.

the niceness is what takes time, and it pays off in the end... also, not having your laser come apart in a slight breeze ;)

haha true, thank you :)

I'm still actually trying to imagine a laser built with Popsicle sticks!

...wait a minute. I have a box of those around here somewhere.
... never mind, the heat transfer would be atrocious.

na hot glue a heat sink on :P

but what if the hot glue melts? lol
just kidding,
I'd laminate all the wood together and tool it into a... host of sorts lol

Received one of 2 units I purchased very fast and am pleased with the results.
No point posting pics as there's enough allready here by seller.
Packaging was good (would have had to stomp on it to damage the unit).
Output is 92mw with ordinary alkalines and the response to higher voltage with standard lithiums or a single 10440 with spacer is basically the same.
Pen physically looks nice and I was told that the pot wasn't adjusted (have no reason to bother taking it apart and it is much more stable than a normal $5 cheapo).
I had an extra 532nm sticker but because of the looks, can't stand to put it on. Much better all black.
From what I have seen, actually purchasing one of the modules and installing in a pen is much better than the crap shoot of cheapos on ebay.

Currently have (2) 532s on the way in a couple weeks (China) from the same abay seller (not Presentteck) that sells way overspec units in the standard 3 color pack. The last 2 packs I received, the 532s were 55mw, and 76mw peak but very unstable with relatively quick drops in power (not unexpected). The 405s were both 92mw stable and the 650s were 101 and 120mw stable as expected using standard alkalines. Will be interesting to see what kind of output his "highest output" 532 pens test at.

Purchased the last one listed here and I'll report back when it arrives (likely Friday).
Again, the deal here is a better/more stable module and a clean looking host.
+1 to seller:)

By the way, own 40 pen type units so I certainly have others to compare to.

Looking forward to the hot glue laminated wood host laser thingy... It will be able to catch itself on fire:) Single use only:p

Edit:
Tested IR is about 10%. Ebay pens are generally much higher.
