Please pardon my ignorance if I missed the parade but there's ~2W violet diodes (assuming 405nm not 445) out there?

danefex, nice to see you around, it's been a long time; I still remember your "Minisabres"!

Funny, in the last two days, we've had two long time members (danefex, and Eudamonium) who have been absent for qiute a while, show up again! Glad to have both you guys back and posting again!

From what I remember seeing it's somewhere between the M140 and the PLP520-B1 (which is barely recognizable as multimode, but in fact is)

LOL, I saw a photo like that for one of those diodes more than a month ago, I thought that was the collimated output and since then was afraid of what I believed was terrible divergence, happy to now see I was wrong about what I was seeing. Although I would rather see the collimated beam shape on that same wall from some specific distance with a measurement of its size.

Don’t worry 😉 i will have some pics witha mesurement of its size on this evening after i finish my work in company!

Judging by the uncollimated profile, it looks like the difference in divergence between the fast and slow axes are not that dissimilar, which should make the collimated output quite manageable.
I purchased this laser and intend to make a thorough review of it including some divergence measurements over longer distances.
I can't wait!
