If you replaced a diode (did you also put it into an AixiZ module and solder the wires to the legs of the diode?) succesfully, then the rest is easy!
Seriously, if you don't kill the diode while extracting or soldering it, or if you short the output of the circuit EVERY time you solder a diode to it, and if you don't use PSUs to power your drivers (ESD danger), there is not much, that can happen.
I will prepare detailed instructions for using the driver and diode, and send through e-mail.
