FS: >110mW PHR, >140mW 4x & >170mW 6x Blu-Rays

Re: FS: >110mW PHR, >140mW 4x & >170mW 6x Blu-Rays

For everyone with one or more of Igor's romisen host lasers, what are you using as a case?

I'm currently looking for something that could hold up to 4 of them preferable, or just separate cases if need be, anyone have any recommendations or ideas ::)?

Cheers Sam ;)

Re: FS: >110mW PHR, >140mW 4x & >170mW 6x Blu-Rays

Hello everyone! I am Diesel from Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

I have just received Igor's blu-ray lasers which are 110mW and 120mW respectively.

First of all, I never ever thought of buying a laser like that powerful and portable from a forum member, beside he is a foreigner!

I realised that he is a credible guy, he made me some very very good quality lasers, its output power is perfectly stable.
Matches could be burns by the 110mW 405nm laser within 10.5 feets, I extremely satisfied with its performance and quality!

Re: FS: >110mW PHR, >140mW 4x & >170mW 6x Blu-Rays

Haha. Four? I thought you are "only" gonna have three.. ;D

But yea, some kind of a pretty case would be a nice thing to have. I'd be looking into it, if i wasn't too busy..

I have one that is interesting, it's an aluminum box, with a plastic window, just big enough for three side by side. If the foam inside had the right size cutouts, it would be perfect..

Hey, Diesel!

I'm very glad you are enjoying your lasers! :)

If you ever need any kind of help, just let me know.

I'm sending you the replacement labels today, btw.. ;D
(everyone else - take them out FIRST!) ;)

True, but as my manager keeps telling me "we have to prepare for expected future requirements" ..........actually I was thinking of ordering a flashlight at some point I like the design of them ;).

Anyway so far my search into the world of camera cases has yielded no results for cases that will hold 4 lasers, only ones that will hold 2, most similar in design to this http://www.caselogic.com/compact_camera_case/product_detail/index.cfm?modelid=114807

Your Aluminium case idea sounds interesting, I think that’s my next area to look into, foam cut out cases.

Try your local sporting goods / hunting store. Pistol cases work also well. Some of them are "double stacked."

Peace,
dave

Have you considered a solid wood case? I am designing a case made from Walnut and maybe Maple inlays, kinda like a small briefcase. Old school, classy look on the outside with inlays and engravings, and high tech look on the inside. I have a cnc wood router that can make them per spec. When I finish one I'll post some pics.

Cheers Daguin good idea, unfortunatly we don't have many hunting stores over here :-/, but there are camping shops ;D,  I'll take a look and see what they have this week sometime.

Hmmm I like the sound of that Chuck, I've made a few things from wood on the past like speakers, LPM enclosures and benches but I don't really have the tools to make something like this, I would love to see some pics of your case when it's done. ;)

Re: FS: >110mW PHR, >140mW 4x & >170mW 6x Blu-Rays

I will look into having some decent presentation boxes made.

The aluminum box i mentioned is VERY nice, and it came from a free business present, which are usualy passed around at various meetings or special occasions.

Presents like that are usually cheap. And yet they come in a nice box. I wonder where the boxes are made..

But it would be a good thing to have. I've been thinking about it for a while now.

Ok, good news everyone...

The GGW 6x sleds have arrived. They are checked. They are real! :D

I will have them in just a few days time if all goes well. ;)

Re: FS: >110mW PHR, >140mW 4x & >170mW 6x Blu-Rays

Yeah they're real, thats great news ;D

Re: FS: >110mW PHR, >140mW 4x & >170mW 6x Blu-Rays

This should be ok, hopefully, after finding some internal padding material.

Re: FS: >110mW PHR, >140mW 4x & >170mW 6x Blu-Rays

The laser level and (even more so) case caught my eye a couple of years ago in a sale at B&Q.

Cost was under a tenner :) ;) ;)

Or, for non-Brits, < £10

Re: FS: >110mW PHR, >140mW 4x & >170mW 6x Blu-Rays

Heh, that tripod is almost identical to one at DX.. Get a clamp from DX, and you got yourself a laser tripod... ;)

Re: FS: >110mW PHR, >140mW 4x & >170mW 6x Blu-Rays
