mmmmmmmmmmm whens mine comeing? :( i am going skiing so atleast another 2 weeks before i get it :( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

Re: FS: >90mW Blu-Rays, two models: OPEN

u=dild* check if u can get mine to me within 164 hours:) if not then send it to VI's place

Re: FS: >90mW Blu-Rays, two models: OPEN

also if u send to VI's place send in seperate packages if poss. he must not be allowed to shifty mine for a power comparison and then test which is better

Re: FS: >90mW Blu-Rays, two models: OPEN

lol.

I don't know if mine's been shipped out yet, but I'm EXCITED for these!! When I get this laser, I'll finally have 3 different colors again!

Re: FS: >90mW Blu-Rays, two models: OPEN

I got a message from my local post office that said "a shipment came in, please come soo to get the package."

Wow, I hope it is my blu-ray! If it is, I can't understand how it got to me this fast... 2 business days, that's incredible! :)

I am so excited that I might explode! I will go to fetch the package now, and see what it is. I am keeping my fingers crossed that it is the blu-ray... :P

Re: FS: >90mW Blu-Rays, two models: OPEN

Abray, please write me an EMAIL!

Everyone else, it's been or, it's being taken care of.

Cybob, i'm shipping two separate packages to Hugh. Yours is wrapped differently, and has a birthday card inside. The powers are the same.

Got to go! Post office waiting!

Re: FS: >90mW Blu-Rays, two models: OPEN

YESSS!!! It was the lazor! :'( (tears of happiness)

I have promised myself not to fire it up until dusk, to see its full power from the beginning... ;D

I LOVE YOU, Igor! [smiley=dankk2.gif]

Actually, no.. I think you'll get it BEFORE you leave skiing.. What day are you leaving on?

I was at a different post ofice, than in the morning, and i asked again.. 4-6 days! I thought express would take longer than that! And this is just expedited priority AirMail..

I shipped both to Hugh in separate envelopes, with markings on the back side. Depending on the day when you leave, you might be able to pick it up. Charge your batteries! ;)

EDIT: 164 hours is 6.8 days.. So it should actually come on time!

Wow! That was fast! I did use expedited priority, but 2 days! Well, Alex from Luxemburg also gets stuff in two days, when i ship. You're not much further away.

Glad it's there already! :)

You're actually gonna wait for dusk?!? Wow. And i thought you were impatient..  ;)
How do you like the way it looks and feels? :) I really love how massive they are!

I'm pretty sure you can't put it down.. :D Did you check it out from all sides yet? Let me know how you like it!

Oh, and i did not manage to make any pictures of that model at all yet. If you could make some, that would be great.. It would be cool, if one showed it from the front, to see the focusing nut and the heatsink...

Re: FS: >90mW Blu-Rays, two models: OPEN

Lazerguy!

Please do not reverse battery polarity! Battery nipple (+) goes in towards the head, (-) goes towards the tailcap! The laser is protected, if you reverse the polarity, but the battery itself could get damaged.

I have not expected anyone to get them this soon, so i have not yet prepared the instructions.. Not like there's much to say anyway.. :D Here you press to turn it ON.. ;)
Oh, and if you take the lens out, be careful not to lose the spring or the lens! I remove the retaining ring, instead of cutting it open. So without the spring pushing it in, the lens can fall out. Keep the laser almost horizontal, but slightly angled up, so the spring doesn't fall out, and unscrew the focusing nut slowly, till you feel it came out, then take it off, and turn it down, so the lens can't fall out. If you're using the Liquid Sky lens, put the regular lens into the baggie, so dust doesn't fall on it.

Also, be VERY carefull wih the "Liquid Sky" lens! It increases your chances of hitting your eye with the lazor by 1000x! Point it AWAY from yourself, till you see how the line is orientated.

Other than that, have lots of fun! ;)

P.S. You need to change your sig.. :D

yeah he lives in a hole, and i live in uptown sydney :) snap

i can't wait igor this will be awesome bet thing is VI doesn't have his batteries yet so i can assure myself that i can drool b4 he does :)

Re: FS: >90mW Blu-Rays, two models: OPEN

I'm pretty sure everyone has their batteries, because i must have asked 10 times, and i included them for those, who don't have them.

Anyway, i'll try tracking your packages now. I hope you know your local post tracking page, cos that's where they'll appear next, after Swiss international customs..

EDIT: It's on a plane to Sydney. :D I'm sending you the tracking info per email.

Re: FS: >90mW Blu-Rays, two models: OPEN

BTW, at the moment, i am playing with a >150mW blu ray laser.. I made it as an experiment, to see what is still safe, and how high these diodes can be pushed.

It took 172.5mA, to achieve 154-157mW after a plastic lens. But the laser is doing just fine. ;)

Next i'm going to power three different diodes at 170, 180 and 190, and just leave them on. Those three are diodes, that turned out too weak to be used in our lasers, during testing of the entire batch. So if nothing else, they will at least help us learn how not to kill the better diodes.. :)
