Nice work once again Jay! I'm really liking that battery life indicator. All of your DIY experience has payed off; that's some of the best DIY work I've seen, and I've seen a lot of mods by flashaholic guys!

Re: FS: 1000 Lumen XM-L T6 Maglite Modification Kit - Parts, or Complete Flashlight!

How much would you charge for the complete build ($129), plus the battery monitor installed?

Re: FS: 1000 Lumen XM-L T6 Maglite Modification Kit - Parts, or Complete Flashlight!

The price of the Spectrum board is over $30 bucks, and my price for the installation shown is an additional $23 dollars. (this is actually more time consuming than it's worth to me, but it's so cool, that I'm trying to make it affordable)

So I priced the option at $58 dollars installed...

:thanks: Great feed back...

Good to know that it's 'up to par' so to speak. I've got some good feedback from buyers at Candle Power Forums as well... :)

Nice you have the XM-L LEDs now too. I was going to buy the ThruNite Catapult V2, but now I have to rethink that now that I have seen this thing. Putting an SST-90 in one of these things would be AMAZING.

It's really hard to properly drive an SST-90 in such a set-up without tri-boring the battery tube to accept a new battery holder that stacks 18650s. Forget about regulated driving as well, unless you design your own driver. You'd definitely need a metal reflector to withstand the heat and a borofloat lens to get the most light out. An XM-L is a perfect Mag LED upgrade unless you're good with carrying a 6D Mag with 12Ah NiMhs in it. :na:
