Here are the specs on the boards of Osh Park.
All boards are FR4 170Tg/290Td which are suitable for lead-free processes and temperature.
They have ENIG (gold) finish for superior solderability and environmental resistance.
They’re 1.6mm thick (0.063 inches) with 1 ounce copper on both sides. For four layer boards, the internal copper is 0.5 ounce.
 
The gold is a bit overkill for this application, but that's not a problem. Just hope you didn't pay extra for it.
IIRC, you've got a mylar stencil for heat reflowing, the gold shouldn't cause you any problems. However, anyone attempting to use a soldering iron should be aware that gold will mix with solder so be quick and don't muck around too much. Which I suppose is always good advice.
 
Are there any tips for building this driver without reflow equipment? For my build I don't really need it to be tiny so I'm thinking of using a soldering iron and maybe buying some of the parts in larger packages. I wouldn't use the same PCB obviously, if I did this.
 
I assembled a ben boost driver, but its not seeming to work. I was wondering if someone would look over my board and tell me if I placed any components incorrectly?

I know not everyone has hundreds of hours of soldering experience, but that looks like shit. Probably could quicker tell you what's NOT wrong with it.
I suggest you watch some videos on youtube to learn how to do a half decent solder job.. "eevblog" is a good starting point.
 
Sorry, that was my first time reflow soldering. I kinda just gooped on solder paste. I'm putting another one together that I was alittle more careful with. If it doesn't turn out well I'll laser cut a solder paste stencil.
 
here's a tip for you - on a board that small, just use an iron. you can solder surface mount parts with an iron and if you're careful it should turn out fine.
 
Pretty sure the bottom side of those 3 caps are all on ground. What worries me is the lm3410 and the LD+ pad. You used too much paste for the lm3410 and I think it may have some shorts. Also it looks like the ld+ pad might be shorting to ground on the capacitor.

A little practice and theyll start coming out better. The DFN "no pins" package isnt easy.
