**FOR SALE** x-200  200mW 532nm pointer

This is an x-series that I've gone through and 'optimized' for some good output. It does 220mW peak and about 190-200mW average. Perfectly TEM00, no mode hopping at all. It comes with a dark_horse PEN heat-sink which is really sweet looking.

The downside to this pen is the paint. We all know the paint CNI uses on their x-series leaves something to be desired. Somehow I set mine down on a piece of scotch tape and when I peeled it off, it took off nearly all the paint.

Here are some pictures, comes with the original "nova lasers" case.

(the flash makes the dust in the 'grooves' stand out and makes it look like the finish on the heatsink is messed up, but I assure you the heat sink finish is a perfect gloss black)

Great lookin' job on your "PEN" Johnlaw. You outta PM Dark_Horse & find out how much he'd charge you to anodize it with one of his snazzy patterns. May as well add a "PEN" 'sink while you're at it. ;) BTW, G'Mornin' !!! Scotch tape is a killer for the paint on CNI pens, I trashed my old X105 with scotch tape. :-[

BTW, good luck selling this if you do, even $300 on this would be an absolute steal for something like this.

You mean underneath the heatsink? To be honest I cant really remember.... lol.

The finish on the heat sink is shiney and perfect.

I would anodize this, but you cant anodize brass :P

EDIT: Is the lens in good conditions? Does the "dot" seem like new?

I havent been around for a while and now I see this great deal! I think I may be interested in it, I'll let you know in a day or two (if it isnt sold by then :P). The heatsink truly looks great on a pen laser, it gives it a more "beefy" look.

The only downside with this unit is the paint, but John has a very good solution for that problem. 8-)

Oh, almost forgot to ask, what's the divergence?

I dont know what the exact divergence value is, but it's about average for a CNI pen! probably around 1mRad or a little more.. I think the spec is less than 1.3 or so...

Anyway, I forgot to add that this DOES come with the original 'nova' case.

Wouldn't it look better if you used more scotch tape and took off the rest of the paint?
