Just a heads up to those of you who live around Seoul,
Youngsan now has a very fine collection of component stores that sell
Arduinos, Silver heatsink paste, LED drivers, clicky switches, A/D serial convertors, large heatsinks.
I happened to be around Yongsan and discovered
DS-parts (Rubycon) store.
They have an amazing amount of stuff that we need for lasers and LPMs.
Prices were average. 39,000W for an Arduino Uno.

Pics below.

I was just going to add that diagonally across from DS-Parts is another shop that carries CCFL inverters, 12V 8A TECs and 523nm 5mW IR filtered laser modules among other things.

I did a major search on the battery front.
Nobody in Korea carries 26650 cells in Li-ion. There are 26650 cells in LiFePo
by bexel and A123. No Li-ion other than 18650 or smaller sizes.
---> Hmm.. funny because I was sure Bexel makes 26650 Li-ion cells in Korea.

Thanks for the info SL!

How do you think DS's selection compares with the shops around Jong-lo (종로/세운상가)?

Jongro stores don't have much in the way of selection of parts that
"we" would want. Many components are also way overpriced.
Still trying to find a metal shop that sells copper rounds or does custom sinks out of Cu.

***oh.... btw... flashlight store in Namdaemun has lots of hosts for DIY lasers.
many Li-ion hosts.
