"FOG MACHINE" on DX

Well I still thought about a fog machine ::) Besides, I'd rather burn paper in an ashtray than buy a jet cleaner to visualize the beam :-/

water vapor sucks anyway for visualizing the beam - it dissipates very quickly into the air

even those little ultrasonic fog machines look really cool but the vapor hugs the ground and wafts into nothing if disturbed

RH @ Singapore(where I live) avgs around 80%. It usually gets 100% after a light shower or in the midnight. So i guess the droplets won't disappear so quickly. ;)

Like iohutom, I live in a humid climate (South Florida). I get great beam on any humid night. :)

Well my room mate burned some spam on the stove about two hours ago and my lasers still like like 40W monsters. Plus it smells delicious. Win win.

Since I'm too cheap to buy anything like a fog machine, I have gone so far using only free things. If there's a campfire or fog, I'll shine my laser in it. Is firework/match smoke a lot better?

[partially-related story] A few months ago, before I had my laser, I decided that it would be fun to light off a bunch of fireworks with my friend in my garage and try to blow up a large plastic cowboy I had. It was awesome, but I began to freak out because we had filled the garage up with a large amount of smoky, sulfur-smelling haze and I didn't know when my parents would get home. It took about half an hour of freaking out and doing everything possible, but with a fan, fully opening the garage door, some Febreze, and getting down on my knees to scrub the floor, everything turned out okay. I really wish I had been able to shine a beam through that thick smoke though; I will never do that again. [/partially-related story]

Indeed. I used to live in Florida, and when I finally moved to the parched air of the midwest, I thought something was wrong with my lasers.
