Flame thrower

The thing with mythbusters is the fuel was dribbled onto the ground not sprayed into the air, it wasn't in a plastic tank and it wasn't held in a persons hands. They also have their bases covered in case things go wrong. You should also have heard them say "DON"T TRY THIS AT HOME KIDS".
You have no idea how lucky you are that you couldn't find a super soaker. IMO

A normal tank can't explode unless there is enough oxygen. with a super-soaker you are pressurizing it with quite a bit of extra air. This DOES change the air/fuel mixture. Also when the fuel starts to run out, there's quite a bit of pressuring air getting into the line it's what makes the spray start to get rough. You can't compare a mythbusters episode, done at normal atmospheric pressure, to the effects you will get when you add pressurized air to it. If you have double atmospheric pressure, you have twice the oxygen. In a super soaker you probably have much more then double. When the fuel starts to run out, you will end up with more then enough oxygen in the fuel air mixture for combustion. Again, this is all assuming the water gun, made of plastic, doesn't melt first. All it takes is plastic melting and dripping into the stream to start disrupting the normal flow, and making it spray sideways.

Meh, you'll do what you want to do. but as stated above, if anyone chooses to try the super-soaker flamethrower idea, please get someone to film it and post it here so we have something else to laugh at on the fail thread.

If this does not scare some common sense into you, nothing will......

Woah damn. Thats a really bad burn :( is that his back or front? Cant tell.

That's a chest, look really close up top, you can see his chin as he turned his head to the left. (Appears to right in photo, as photographer was facing subject)

There is also what is left of a nipple on there.
