First post! Unique request.

If you have the lens completely threaded into the aixiz module and then thread it out until just before infinity it will have no real focal point and just diverge outward. This is a great practice for those with LPMs

I believe he wants a 532nm laser though. Are there Aixiz build approaches for DPSS greens?

ahh I missed that. No there is not. Still however if the focusing optics of a focusable green work in the same manner (I would assume so) the technique should still work.

Check out this thread. The head can be unscrewed and the collimating lens can be adjusted with the right tools. Post #51 shows the lens assembly. It's not exactly "adjust on the fly" but the Super Beast laser can be bought for under $20.

I can't speak to the optics of 532nm lasers in general, as I only own one that is in a focusable host. (pictured above)

All of the modules I've seen are focussed in the module themselves. All of the non-focussing greens I own, seem to use modules that contain the focussing in the modules themselves, as opposed to containing the focussing in the hosts. I *think* when they make focusable hosts, they must use modules with less or different built-in focussing.

I'll post a photo of this module, maybe someone more knowledgable than myself can solve the mystery. Is this maybe just an extra lens at the tip of the module?
