hello all, so I finally made a purchase from laserlands.net because I have been wanting to for a while now, I just wanted to share with you my experience with them, I purchased a couple lenses, a 405nm module with driver, and a red pass reflect blue Dichroic filter. It arrived in a very nice undamaged box that looked much better than most packages I get from china, it certainly looks like Laserlands takes pride in their packages :D

Order date was < June 8th 2018
arrived date was June 28th 2018
14 business days to arrive, not too bad if you ask me.

this is the first time I received a package that actually said "Laser Module" on the box lol! I forgot that if the box says "Module" then it shouldn't get seized.
(((I will post some pictures as soon as I get to my phone because im on my laptop right at the moment.))

Im ordering parts to build a Magenta laser module but unfortunately the filter I got was blue reflect and I thought violet would reflect too since its close to that wavelength but I was wrong, so I need to buy a new filter that will reflect 405nm since I only need 20mw of blue or 100mw of purple and I have no luck on finding 20mw of 450nm module :(
I chose purple instead of blue for building my pink laser because I found that apx 20mw of blue or 100mw of purple and apx 200mw of 650nm makes a VERY beautiful PINK color :)

So anyways I just wanted to post a short thread on my positive experience with Laserlands ;)

I had good luck with them. So far the 565 and 575 I got are just fine. Well the driver is sh_t but that isn't their fault.

The 565nm and 575nm lasers did not come from LaserLands. I have done a lot of business with them and most of the time it was a great experience. I always suggest buying from their website as it is cheaper than eBay. I wouldn't try combining 405nm with anything. It is only about 1% as visible as 532nm and is less visible than any of the reds out there. You could get away with using an LPC-840 for 400 mW output at 650nm. You could also try a single mode 635nm diode instead. But, I would pick any of the many blues out there to mix with the red.

thanks Gazen :) oh yeah my 2.2kw car mount 589nm module is just far too intense for me to play with :crackup:

yeah I know their are quite a few people that say that the drivers they used suck A$$ :( but im glad the module are working great :beer:

hah yeah that's actually what I did, I noticed the website is better than ebay.
My original plan was actually to use a single mode 638nm but decided to use 650nm instead, i forgot you have an LPC that's hitting over 400mw if I remember correctly, that's just incredible. I really do wanna use blue instead of violet but I cant find any really low power blue modules :( preferably 20-30mw any ideas? :yh:

I did got one of the RGB 300 mW lasers from LaserLands. It cost me $46.00 with free shipping and with a PWM controller works quite well. I look on eBay for stuff they have, but then check their website for the same item if I want one.

46 bucks is a pretty good price, I've noticed that a lot of people are selling 300mw RGB's for like 70 and $80, that's simply too high.
I just bought a couple things from Techhood so im kinda excited to see how they turn out.

Got mine last year. I think the price has gone up since then. There are some pretty good deals out there still.

'White' lasers and all the two laser 'combos'-- Magenta-yellow and Teal are ez builds and fuo n-- great for lumia-- am about to order a new blue lab w/ GH04850B32G diode.. the driver already has a place to plug up the much needed fan (> one may be a good ideai).. AND a place to plug in a red and TTL for both!!!! They confirmed that a 180mW 638 red would work just fine.. ez Magenta with ability to just use the R or B or have Magenta-- from there-- a cheap diode green can be added and you have your own 1W+ 'white' for very little.

BTW any truth to what I heard that this blue diode will soon be hard to find cheap??

Existotem claims to have plenty in stock ...both lab and as well as bare diodes and they already have the lowest price at $iirc $44..per diode--duh !!??
at $59 you get the diode and all the rest.. Zack got $103 for the last diode he sold.

What they don't sell is the red.. not that one..

maybe one of the other 'newgazers' has one- OR get one to build(diode)-- heat sink and wire w/ the right plug ez

Depending on the wavelength of your blue, it will be a light blue to cyan color. These can be pushed to ~140 mW if you get an efficient one and drive it at 300 mA, but you need to use either the acrylic lens or the 2 element 520nm AR coated from DTR or you will see the dreaded rectangular artifact on the side of the focused dot. This is especially true if you use a glass aspheric lens like the G2. I have one that is just barely under 488nm and another that is 493nm. They couldn't look more different. Using the lab host with a fan is your best option to keep the diode from overheating.
