Well I just got my first car... a 1966 Ford F-100... Got a new engine in the shop for it, I just gotta go down to get it :] I am super stoked about it, anybody else got one here? Or any tips?

Thanks all!

They are nice trucks, I've never had one but they do look cool. My grandma has a 1986 chevy ck silverado that was wrecked that I've been working on. I've got a 350 that's coming up from Florida to drop in (the block was cracked) Then some body panels and paint. Good to go!

Leave it on the side of the road and buy a Chevy :D.

But if it must be a Ford, I'd use a lot of real wood grain, or veneers. Adds a lot of class to either the interior and/or bed. Leave it as stock as possible. In the future, if you wanted to sell it, you'd get more money.

Or gut it, and drop it. Its whatever you like it to be.

its a 66" car? jesus thats over 50years old..... the ammount of gas it take must be insane.

I got a 64 flat-bed ford for a work truck on the farm. That thing is bullet proof.

Seems nice enough.. my first car was a 15 year old nissan compact. It was a gift and i had good times with it, but darn, that thing was the slowest thing to ever hit the road - and ugly too.

Your 50+ year old ford will probably be a better drive with the replaced engine in there ;)

my first truck was a 89 ford ranger with the 2.3L engine. it was quite rusty. i then got a 95 mustang. I just finished replacing the head gaskets in it.

My first car was a 1976 monte carlo with a 305 and a 3 speed automatic. Talk about a turd, I had to quit putting stuff in the trunk because it would fall out onto the roadway :D

I can't wait to get my first car :shhh: hopefully it'll be soon...hopefully:drool:

I work in riverside california about 8hr drive from reno... around the corner from me is a place call Bob's F-100 all they do is those. its a small biz so i'm sure prices wont be too crazy.. look it up.

congrats on the first car, mine was a 67 mustang fast back with a 302...(its funny how a description brings nice thought... that car was nitemare)
