It all depends on what host he's going to use and what batteries it will take. That will determine if he needs a buck or boost driver. I'm using a Guidesman host for my 405 build using 2 10440's in series using a buck driver

@ Leodhasan

Fair enough  then a buck/boost or a boost driver will suffice then ;)

Has to be a Boost Driver since it takes 2.7-3.7V input, and has to supply ~4.5v for the diode.

It acts the same way so, it don't really matters as the guy isn't going to use they.

Well from the looks of it, the driver that im looking at on ebay says that its for 405nm diode and we all know that 405nm diode require 4.5v to run but it also says that the input has to be 2.7-3.7V..so i would think its a boost driver..and not a boost/buck since the input voltage would have been 2.7 to something over 4.5v..
So yeah back to the start..
From all the info you guys gave me i think i would be using the driver and diode i posted..driver set to 100mA-110mA and a single 18650 battery..i would let u guys know how it works out..Thanks to everyone here!
