I am in contact with a supplier in china that may be able to get us 1 watt 5.6 mm modules in 445 at 35 dollars a pieceat a min order of 100 pieces and 40 dollars each for a min order of 50. I am just seeing if there is enough interest in a gb for this.

Mr Peng
Thanks again for your prompt response and I will get back to you in a few days and let you know how it goes thanks again

Mr Peng
Thanks for your prompt reply the copper or part nickle and copper module will be ideal for our applications though I will say the 3 watt module may go over well what is the price per unit for that unit and what is the price for unit five as well.
so If I order a hundred units of the 1 or two its 35 a unit is that correct?
Thanks

Thanks, Jeff, at present, 5.6mm is popular size, so our main size is fit for it.
Hi, Jeff, with 50pcs, my best price is 40.00us$, and with 100pcs, I am willing to supply 35.00us$ price for you.
By the way, you can choose different shell. You know, we have much more different shell for the same power laser modules.
Thanks
XiaoPeng

Re: Feeler

I'm going to need more details, and you need to add more to the title for people to see it.

Re: Feeler

Yes more details. Does it have a driver? What diode? What material is the heatsink?

5.6mm is standard diode size, are you certain they mean module and they don't mean individual diode?

By the way, this is the same XPL company that I've dealt with before. Peng is a good man and his company is definitely trustworthy. :)

I'd be interested, but I don't think we can get anywhere near 50 of them within a short period. Not that much cheaper than single unit price either.

A hundred. That's a huge group by. The gbs we've had in the past have been no where near that and they all seem to aquire problems even with smaller orders. I'm just saying this sounds tricky at best

Still, that's only $8.20 (about 20%) savings in exchange for what would be a massive hassle to manage assuming the GB was that huge.

Agreed on all counts. The savings are not large enough that a GB would be beneficial. Remember, if you contact him and tell him you are from LPF, you get 15% discount anyways!

ya i know but I really thought it was a good price for a one watt four forty five nm diode already pressed and wired and driver the cheapest I found on ebay of similar type was sixty five bucks. I think that is a big deal for some of us that are on a budget and can not afford DTR which Im not knocking Jordan sells a quality product its just to expensive for some of us in the hobby

Yes, Peng is great. I negotiated a deal with him so that LPF members get 15% discount. Also he will replace any broken diodes from his lasers for 3 months. :)
