It's not fast-forwarded. You can tell when the guy comes in at normal speed and the cat is still moving at the same speed it was.The part with the cat on acid looks fast-forwarded - so the shock value is greater.
Fortunately, ethics are different now - though I'd be interested to know if there were any long-term effects on the cat after that experiment.

I wonder how much they gave it!? That cat was "tripping balls" as they say, and by the looks of it on the brink of insanity!
I hate both cats and drugs... in that order I might add.
cause... my nice enough neighbors find it necessary to feed the 13 or so feral cats in the area. Thus leaving my house, front doorstep no less, as their own personal bathroom. Yummy!.
I have tried ever thing from calling the law, BB gun's, Vinegar, a** beatdowns you name it.
The other reason is I'm a dog person and from the offset I've hated cats. Nothing like having a pet that will eat you if you die on them not saying a dog won't, but I know
a cat will.
I dont see how they can possibly bring plesure/enjoyment!
Fact: Cats like to chase laser dots.
Fact: This is a laser forum.
Fact: Many boxes and other containers are large enough to fit cats.
Fact: Many of these can be rigged to shut when something runs into the box.
I believe you have all you need, my friend.
