F**k you windows

More windows fun. It crashed for no reason after 4 hours converting...
Tried a reboot but wont work.
Now i need to get home to see why.
(remote controlling notebook with teamviewer)

Uhm, it can be the conversion program itself ..... i already had some problems with some types of conversion softwares (for convert from wmv/sfv/mp4 to avi) .

Actually i'm using allok avi converter, a bit limited about final resolution (720x576 max), but at least til now, no crashes or reboots, and "reasonably" quick.

no my mom cleaned the table and accedently pulled the external hard drive's power cable.
That was the cause of the crash.
Stopid that windows crashes then -_-
oh well i told my mom to dont touch my stuff again :P

I switched to ubuntu nearly 5 years ago and i will never go back. If there is an off chance i need to do something in windows I just boot into it through virtualbox

f**k this OS. the only reason i use it is because compability.

I'm dual booting with it for the same reasons, for those rare programs that wine won't run. I recently tried to use my HD camera as a webcam on XP, it worked at first then failed with a message telling me to try reconnecting it and if the problem persists to replace the hardware  that's the Window$ way.. it's not our OS it's your hardware.

EDIT , Linux (as much as i like it) isnt a viable option untill they make it more user freindly, that said i do like Ubuntu & Knoppix.

Ubuntu is by far the most user friendly Linux distro IMO. if something doesn't work it usually only takes a little bit of tweaking to get it going. and as far as codecs go it'll ask you if you want to search for and install the correct ones. I think for most people Ubuntu would be a good first step into the Linux world.

They sure are pretty though..
