[Ended]Buckyballs (Desk Magnet Toys) Sale






Quick update guys.

For the time being, between posts here, and PM's all the "spare" cubes I ordered are spoken for. I'd like to be able to keep a 3x3 cube of these, as I originally planned.

Rest assured though, I get bored with things quickly, so more will likely go on sale from me eventually. I'm also trying to find some other sources for these.

Yes I did. A .01-.001 millimeter variation really doesn't concern me... what I would prefer to see is a test of the coating, and of the magnetic properties. Something more than the stick test.

Quick update -

I received part of my order. Still waiting for the second part though. The second part is what I will be basically sending out to all of you :na:

In the meantime I did open 27 of the packages, for the mega cube.

They are great, but I have to say I'm a bit disappointed with quality. The original 216 set I got a while back seems to be better. That said, they are still fantastic, and it is possible I'm just a bit bitter because my fingertips are now thoroughly bruised :o

PM's will be sent out to everyone on the list, once I get the second order. Depending on the responses I might have to limit you to only one set per person... I wasn't expecting to resell these.

I am also waiting on a couple of chinese suppliers though, so there might be a small GB in our near future.

If you posted in the thread, or PMed me, but are not on the list below, I apologize in advance, but please PM me again....

If you have leftovers, I would buy three sets(maybe 4) total. I totally get if you only want to send one to each though

With everyone getting one, there are already no spares :(

7 are reserved for you guys, 6 for my office. Only way more will be for sale will be if I get bored and tap into my own reserve, that will happen, but not right away.

On a $/ball ratio, there are some options from chinese suppliers. I ordered 2 samples, to see what they are like. If they turn out well, I'll do a mini GB, or just buy a bunch, and put them up for sale. Obviously you guys would get first dibs. I'm just a tad worried going this route, in case quality is not good.

In the future, if I see a deal like this come up from Bucky, I'll place a much larger order.
 
I placed two orders, hours apart. So not really surprised. No tracking or anything for the second order yet.
 
Ie you could coat one of your lasers with them and make a pretty sweet looking host, I'm surprised nobody's mentioned it yet!

My thought was with 5000 of them you could make some interesting interchangeable host designs. Might not be everyone's cup of tea but you could make a cool RPL style buckyball host or something!

That's fine, lots of people thought selling bottled water was a stupid idea until people made millions off of it.
