Hey all, I came across this seller on eBay whilst I was looking around for high powered 532nm modules. I saw that he had a host & a module kit. Before buying I did some searching and returned nothing on the seller, So I messaged him. I asked him if he was able to prove that the modules for sale are indeed 200mW. He replied saying that he has an LPM and they meter each module before sending it out to ensure the buyers get what they pay for.
I then bought both the host and the 200mW green module, They were both shipped out within around 9 hours which I was happy with and tracking numbers for both individual packages were updated as I requested. It took 8 days for both packages to arrive which I was pretty happy about so I opened them up and put the module into the host and turned it on, To my surprise it meters 84mW PEAK.
I messaged the seller asking him why my "200mW" module was only measuring 84mW on my LPM. His response was
I tried to explain to him that my LPM was not wavelength specific and was capable of reading anything from 400nm - 1100nm meaning that all the extra infared light would have gone into the reading as well and it was indeed the module that was underspec. His next reply was:
.
So all in all, His lasers are definately not up to spec and I think that $74 for a 85mW green module is definately a rip off. I was expecting at least 120mW out of it. The buyer did agree to refund me $20 "for any inconvenience he caused".
Wasn't much of a review but now hopefully other members will see this before buying from these guys.
