Hey all, I came across this seller on eBay whilst I was looking around for high powered 532nm modules. I saw that he had a host & a module kit. Before buying I did some searching and returned nothing on the seller, So I messaged him. I asked him if he was able to prove that the modules for sale are indeed 200mW. He replied saying that he has an LPM and they meter each module before sending it out to ensure the buyers get what they pay for.

I then bought both the host and the 200mW green module, They were both shipped out within around 9 hours which I was happy with and tracking numbers for both individual packages were updated as I requested. It took 8 days for both packages to arrive which I was pretty happy about so I opened them up and put the module into the host and turned it on, To my surprise it meters 84mW PEAK.

I messaged the seller asking him why my "200mW" module was only measuring 84mW on my LPM. His response was

I tried to explain to him that my LPM was not wavelength specific and was capable of reading anything from 400nm - 1100nm meaning that all the extra infared light would have gone into the reading as well and it was indeed the module that was underspec. His next reply was:
.

So all in all, His lasers are definately not up to spec and I think that $74 for a 85mW green module is definately a rip off. I was expecting at least 120mW out of it. The buyer did agree to refund me $20 "for any inconvenience he caused".

Wasn't much of a review but now hopefully other members will see this before buying from these guys.

I am also planning on buying one module for replacing my old MSV3's crapped out module, looks like these ebayers are very extra professional these days!

i buy my green modules from techhood, they are almost always within tolerance with their power claims BUT i got one that wasn't in spec.

100mW claim, peaked at 110mW came down to 90mW in 30 seconds

i emailed them with my LPM graph and they gave me $10 refund, pretty impressed by that.

ouch, i would open a dispute with ebay to get my money back as he sold you something and it wasn't as described. then take $10 and buy a $10.01 50mW 532nm Green Laser Module - 3V, 11.9mm at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping and then just find a host for it. Ive used C6 host and S4 a power rock Power Rock Series Laser Torch Blank Host with All Acessories DIY Laser Host | eBay and even one of those hosts i'm selling. the options are endless. but i would defiantly dispute the purchase.
Yeah, i was thinking about that.. But PayPal won't do anything because there are too many factors to bring into the equation let alone the fact lasers in australia over 1mW are illegal. I guess it's just a lesson learned. Wow! That power rock is amazing! I'm gonna buy a few of them for sure! Thanks for sharing that..

@Fiddy, I think I'll give techhood a go. Thanks for that man! Have you tried out there 200mW modules?

Oh really? That's heaps good! You don't happen to have one you wanna let go of? Just to beat the snail mail from china.
