Hey all, I am new to lasers, and as I was searching for good laser safety goggles, I came across the Eagle Pair brand.
I ordered 2 pairs from Survival Laser USA, here they are:

These glasses are marked 190-470nm & 610-760nm at OD4+ and CE certified on the lenses:

Alright, now for the real meat of this review. I tested these glasses with three of my lasers on my Laserbee A LPM. I tested a 450nm, 405nm, and a 650nm laser through the glasses:

Firstly, here is the 450nm without the glasses:

I'm only running it at 500mw because my dad doesn't want me running it at 1.6W.
Here is the same laser through the glasses:

As you can see, absolutely no light is getting through. I am very impressed for just $40.:D
Here is the 405nm laser without the glasses:

It is a PHR-805T diode, now here is that same laser going through the glasses:

Again, as no suprise, no light gets through the glasses whatsoever.
Now, it is easy to get good goggles for blue cheap, but red is harder to get quality glasses for cheap.
This next one is my 650nm DVD diode build:

150mw I think is pretty good for a free diode. It is a 16x diode, and unfortunately not a 24x.
Here is the laser through the glasses, I think you already know what's going to happen...:D:

No big suprise these glasses let absolutely no light through. I did accidentally focus the laser on the glasses for a split second, and there is now a little mark...

In all, I was very happy with these glasses, especially for the price.
I highly recommend you pick up a pair of these Eagle Pair glasses if you need good glasses but don't want to empty your wallet.
For $40 from Survival Laser, you really can't go wrong with these glasses.:san:

Well done! One word of caution though, especially with higher powers, you can very easily end up ruining the goggles.

I've been waiting for someone to do this. Thanks a lot for posting. Eagle Pair make some fine equipment.

Very nice review  I am pretty sure those goggles are absorbing the laser energy though, so like IE said, be careful not to melt the lenses :p goggles are for last-resort instant protection, not durable resistance to a candle-lighting laser beam

Good job, I've never had the cojones to do this to my Eagle Pair.

Yeah I would be very hesitant to put anything over 100mw on a pair of EP's for longer than a split second. You never know when that plastic will melt :)
