Dunno if you saw it already and more dunno if its the rite thread,

but since today DX sells a Pen for 170 bucks. See SKU#18559

Maybe someone want to make some comments on this, fe which LD could be build in etc...

its way over priced, i wonder how there getting 30mW because most blu-rays are either ps3 which is about 10mW or 85mW+ with a phr803t diode.

There are several other diodes available and the current can be turned way below the currents that we normally use. The PHR lases at somewhere around 40mA (20mW). The SF-AD112 diode will lase at around 25mA (5mW).

Peace,
dave

that looks like the first three blurays i made but mine were around 100 mw and went for $100.00 with batteries and charger lol :o

About time they had some new lasers but as someone said above its way too overpriced.

I noticed there are some new 5mW blue lasers as well, not sure when they were added though.

the host looks the same as the 5mW true green i have.. so most definitely over priced seeing as how ive had it for just over 3 weeks and the threading is already falling apart along with the little clip (fell out.. :'()

Keep in mind that DX usually sell really overpowered lasers. :D
