Driver Mod For up to 1.8amps with 2x 3.7v or 3.0v cells

The bad thing is that the host is heated so fast the runtime is 10sec or less. Otherwise something will go wrong.

I also was thinking of this.
I am planning something similar with bridging over the R27 (or equivalent) with 1ohm 1watt resistors like Lazeerer explained to get about 1.8A.

HOWEVER I am planning to drill a hole near to the pill and install an additional switch. This will toggle the parallel resistors on/off between +-1000ma and 1800ma. Considering it will be parallel there will be no risk (I think!) of any overcharged capacitors or any other problems. Please someone correct me if I am wrong!

Unlike you Blord I do not own any 445nm's so there is more motivation for me to do this. But I really like the idea of a really powerful 1W that does not get too hot and then having the option of making it 1.8A when it suits me.
I also like the option of saving battery life but still lazing with a laser that has the POTENTIAL to be a 1.8A at the click of a button.

Any criticism will me most welcome, I am not experienced at this in the least so yeah. Just wanted to share my idea with everyone maybe someone could take something from it.:)

Oh I have attached terrible a little paint diagram so you can get an idea of what I am talking about.

Good thinking
just needs a switch
Obviously it is better to change the operation after switch Off the laser?

Nah its parallel so I just did the switch while it was on.
Worked like a charm.
