DragonLasers 589nm "50mW" - Very displeased so far (LPM: 7mw to 24mW)

magmabeam,

No matter what you say, DL should have fully refunded rhd including shipping and even give him a little compensation, to fix this scam or looks like scam issue.

They chose not to do this, and therefore will have to deal with the consequences, as far as this forum is concerned, meaning, drop of reputation for them.

Magma:
You could ignore the shipping issue entirely for a moment, and the fact is that they still took an additional $60 off my payment that had nothing to do with anything other than the purchase price of the laser. Then they lied about this

Listen, there was no jumping to any conclusions here. This was a very long drawn out process (that for some reason has recently spurrer renewed discussion). There was plenty of back and fourth discussion and an infinite number of opportunities to resolve "technical errors" if there had been any to blame. There weren't. This was not a technical glitch.

Well I just meant it could've been a lot worse. Has your CC chargeback gone through yet?

Yes sir, but everything in life *could have been* worse.

When WL took 8 months to fulfill paid orders for $300 lasers, it could have been worse. It could have been 12 months.

When Stevie Dezie scammed us out of $50 each (and Yob out of much more), it could have been worse. He could have scammed us all out of $500 a piece.

That's an irrelevant argument. It's not pleasant to lose $130 for something that is zero-percent your fault and entirely the result of someone else's dishonesty and poor business practices. The fact that it *could have been worse* doesn't lessen the magnitude of their dishonest behavior.

So now you pop up defending DL based on the premise that they could have scammed me more. It's a 4 month old issue that played out before you were even a member reading this forum. You haven't even done us all the courtesy of reading this whole thread before offering your opinion. If you had, you would have known the answer to your charge-back question. I have discussed this already.

These things happen in life, and I'm past it. I'm even emotionally fine with letting it go. I don't know where you've come from (or for that matter whether you're just a DL employee who registered this month to post on this thread), but I suggest that you do some reading before jumping in on issues that long predate your participation in this community.

That sir, was well put.

At the end of the day it boils down to "The Customer Is Always Right"
Even if they're wrong (which you aren't) that statement sticks.
I've had a good experience with DL about a year ago haven't dealt with them since so a lot could have changed.
It's a sad thing to see laser companies we all trusted and had a good rep are starting to let standards slip.
They need to know it takes only one mistake for a companies reputation to be ruined, especially in such a specialist market like lasers.
Lets just hope they can redeem themselves in someway!
