Vaporize is most appropriate!
lol, yea, vaporize, incinerate, "teleport to another dimension" perhaps

Believe me, one of the reasons why the f35 won over the f32 was because of the specific turbofan and lift system it uses. The sole reason for this laser is for that fighter. Nothing ever surprises on the things we can do nowadays, and the stuff they do tell us is just the tip of the iceburg.

And the Marines will be the only US service using it. The Navy might use it. The Air Force will not be using it.

I know what I am getting for x-mas! ;D

ya, no kidding!
Gov't programs like this, especially in the defense sector, are like cockroaches - for every one you see (or that they let you see) - there's probably 50 you don't see! ;D

Low Power Setting Provides nominally 100 watt alignment beam

The "alignment" beam is more powerful than anything I'll ever see :o

How do they "combine" up to 8?? That has to be one helluva beam combiner!

;)I wonder if i uses single phase. ;)
If your single phase was 220V, you would require ~2300A (yes, AMPS) of current not taking into consideration cooling requirements.

Even with three phase 420V service, you'd need 400A per leg. That's a heavy extension cord.

That's really scary that it's avalible to the public... Some evil millionairs out there could do some pretty bad stuff with it. :o

well I'm 120volt i guess i need ~4600A.Hope i don't get shocked.

I think the F35 with the laser will probably be a different variant, since it will not have VTOL capabilities, so Im sure more then just the marines will get them. Actually, I sorta doubt the marines will, the Air Force will claim the #1 priority im sure.

Wow cool! Does that use the firestrike fiberlaser module? :-/

Use media tags. The fifth button puts them for you.
