Does anyone have experience with DX high power 532nm's?

I'm looking at getting this >>>link<<< , do they have a reputation for being under or overspec? or are they usually on the button?

Any advice welcome.

Go with Rayfoss instead. They have the same unit for less, and at least with Rayfoss you know you're getting something that's at least up-to-spec if not over.

DealExtreme stuff is usually very low-quality or underspec, or both. I'd never trust them with $400.

i wouldt get a laser of that much money from DX.......
and i hope they dont come in that flower case :thinking:

Remember, when it comes to cheap green, Rayfoss and O-Like are your best options.

For the price of the DX 400, you could get a Rayfoss 500mW.

A few LPF members have owned them before, with mostly positive experiences (realista's was 400 or so mW stable). However, one guy had his die within 30 minutes. Sorry, I should have told you about that earlier. :S

Be warned, though, they don't have IR filters. You may want to invest in an IR filter.

Well, then there's the other half of the story.

Rayfoss sent out the replacement before the RMA'd laser reached them.

I'd go with them anyway. Mounting the IR filter inside the laser might make for a bit of a challenge though- Rayfoss themselves have said it's a tight fit inside.
