I have Narcolepsy, so I take naps when possibly. A lot of times I just fall asleep. For those who don't know about Narcolepsy, you should google it. ( I only reason I say that is not a lot of people know what it is)

Ever happened while you had a powerful laser clicked on?

(No offense meant by the joke of course)

I haven't had that happen, at least not yet. No offense taken, we joke about it also.

I took one this morning, haha. Had a meeting at 7:30 that no one showed up to and didn't have anything until 10am, so I went home and slept for an hour.

Many studies have also shown that power naps are very effective in improving cognitive abilities related to many tasks, especially if sleep-deprived, but still helpful even if you had a full-night's sleep.

I often take a few minutes to lie down and relax, especially after I get home mid- to late afternoon. If I'm tired, that will normally take the form of a "power" nap/semi-consciousness - it helps restore concentration and alertness and means I can get stuff done in the evening. Unfortunately, it also throws off what I claim is a "pattern" to my sleeping ;) Plus, I normally feel guilty about it because it feels like I' being lazy, even though it helps. :tired:

I went to bed around 5:30am last night and woke up around 3pm today. I don't think I have any "pattern" left to lose...

:p

I work long hours in an engineering role. I have been known to nap under my desk (last time was on Monday!).

I get two complaints in the office, (1) My typing is bloody loud (old IBM keyboard) and (2) I snore!!!!
