DIY Laser Power Meter

Don't think so, I've seen Andy use a similar power meter before. Did he get one of those from a GB in another forum or something?
 





Will it be accurate to a few mw? That is all I need, I just want an idea of power. Is it a good deal or not?

That sensor looks like a small (8.5mm x 6mm) peltier unit epoxied to a heat sink and spray painted flat black. The seller claims it "can test Lasers from 7mW to 1000mW output power in 1mW increments." I suspect the accuracy is marginal at lower powers and the damage threshold is very low.

i should be getting one in a few weeks, i bough it for the heck of it because i couldent find any thing else :)
 
is anyone still working on this? i can`t find any recent posts, and a lot of the parts on the parts list are no longer there.. especially on ebay.. i am very interested in making one of these! i love diy projects and this one looks like a lot of fun!
 
I am also interested to see if this is still going on, I would like to participate in the group buy if its still available.
 
These sensors are long gone, there was one seller who had a bunch but that was several years ago.
