It's on the wikipedia several times They were found guilty but appealed the verdict meaning nothing has happened to them as of yet. How do I obtain the IP of a site?

even if it does get banned its not like people wont be able to get it. just like the FDA regulation already on >5mw lasers, they can bypassed and not to dificultly. or easily built by one of the many experts here and elsewhere.

ALL the lasers we build are illegal. Yet we all have them. WTF is wrong with you people? As said, PL is ultra conservative. They dont like pointers, period. They see most of the diodes are being used for pointers. Put 2 and 2 together.

Stop this rampant rumors of banning, forums going down, ect. Its all BS. The only way to stop anything would be to discontinue the diode. Do you really they are going to stop making a working technology because people use them in pointers? Yeah right. We will always be able to get the diodes no matter what. Chill the hell out and stop posting BS, and things you dont know what you are talking about. The only people that have any kind of issues is WL. Big deal. We make better, and cheaper pointers anyway. As will O'Like, and the other 100 Chinese dealers. So stop with the worrying already.

PL is a forum of Laser-Show ppl, and have leaved the joy of pointer and moved into the show industry .

And all the googling about 445, PL dont want to be associated to be a forum that mod`s 445 diodes and use them in pointers..
That also will result of ppl joining the forum and ask where to get any 445 to put in theyr pointers !!

ALL pointers more than 4,99mW is illegal (in most country), but damn child-porn is also illegal but still the xxx forum continue to exist every day ...

When that said, I still think this forum should have a WARNING sticky about the danger to high power pointers.

I wouldn't bet on them announcing that they were contacted, especially if they were told not to.
It's like when a company fires a high level manager or other highly regarded employee, an announcement is made that the individual "left the company to pursue other interests", when in fact it was not the employee's decision at all.

TJ is 100% right, everybody needs to calm down. You will be able to get a blue laser, just relax and stop making everything sound so terrible. If there are more visitors here than normal, them seeing threads like this and the wl irresponsible thread make lasers look even worse.
If you can all have patience, i can assure you, china will provide us with everything we have always wanted just like they have been doing.
