UPDATE: Please close this thread. People are completely and totally misunderstanding the intended purpose.

Just to make it clear, this is not about reputation. It is not about my experience with Dave or the BR project. It is regarding TJ's response to my inquiry, in which he poses a rude threat. I was simply attempting to clear up the reason he responded the way he did. Thanks for the help, advice, and opinions, guys. I will take it easy and just ignore it the issue with TJ.

peace & thanks to all

Re: Tech_Junkie - Posing Threats?

T_J is a troll, he holds the troll badge with honor....

Its nothing really, just dont let it turn into something big

Re: Tech_Junkie - Posing Threats?

thanks for the suggestion, Don't Laze Me Bro. Do you think I should discontinue the thread altogether? I'm not looking to make a big issue out of it, I'd just much rather resolve things in public, with the help/support of the other members. So far, private conversations haven't been successful (as you can probably see).

peace & thanks

Re: Tech_Junkie - Posing Threats?

Well, this is what I've gathered so far; daguin helped you assemble a laser, you supposedly "opened it up" and "operated it a manner that was abnormal" and it broke. Somewhere down the line, someone felt your handling of the situation was inappropriate and neg repped you. Am I missing/misunderstanding something?

Daguin does not throw neg rep around unless he feels you really deserved it...

Re: Tech_Junkie - Posing Threats?

You are correct, Digital_Blue. This thread, however, is about resolving the issue of Tech_Junkie showing rudeness and posing threats upon me inquiring in an attempt to learn more about the reputation-deduction and learn from it.

Once again, I would just like to make it clear that I do not have a problem with his (or the other party's) reputation deduction. This thread is not about that.

peace & thanks

Re: Tech_Junkie - Posing Threats?

If you didnt have a problem with it, they why post here? And IMO daguin would not have -repped you unless he felt you deserved it, and it stated somthing about you trying to cover somthing up? and what threat did TJ make towards you personally, everyone know of the saying curiosity killed the cat...

Re: Tech_Junkie - Posing Threats?

Daguin is not the "other party" that I mentioned, and I completely agree with his decision to -rep me for deleting my comments. I figured I'd be "cleaning up his page" by deleting all my numerous inquiries, but that was a mistake on my part that I now regret. Once again, this thread is NOT about that. The reason I have posted here is due to the issue with Tech_Junkie's response to my inquiry.

thanks for voicing your opinion, Kingdave. I have taken it into thought.

peace & thanks

First off, quit taking your rep too seriously...

Secondly, it's an idle threat...

Thirdly, what did you expect? You pissed someone off, then you go and ask the guy why he's pissed....

Re: Tech_Junkie - Posing Threats?

It's not so much the content of the threat that worries me, so much as the thought...

Basically, if someone is going to go ahead and say something of that nature, regardless of what the threat is, it is clearly showing that that user has an issue with me. Issues sometimes are best worked out in private, and sometimes in public. Due to the nature of the initial response, I feel that the latter is more appropriate. I am completely open to other opinions on this matter, and if the community feels that this issue is better resolved in private, then so be it; if I see that it becomes the common consensus to settle privately, I will personally request that this thread be closed.

thanks for the input, DB :yh:

Yea what he said^^^
Look just cut your losses, dont worry about it, and move on man. Starting this thread will just serve as a battleground and it wont end well, these guys are vets, they would not neg rep you for no good reason, even TJ.

Re: Tech_Junkie - Posing Threats?

All this over a neg rep. Dave was right, your immaturity level is that of a whining child. The first PM you send whined at me, I ignored it. The second whining PM your title was titled "Curious bla bla". You have a cat avatar, so I found it historically funny and ironic so I wrote that age old quote. Then I asked you if you want another neg rep, I guess you do. Dude grow up. No one care about you. You're a whining little brat, who cries when you're not happy. I cant believe you are wasting people time with this crap. If you cant handle the petty drama here, then let me reiterate, GTFO.

Whats even more funny that you would think I would waste my time threatening you. Oooh internet threat.

Re: Tech_Junkie - Posing Threats?

From what I can make of it, you and Daguin had an ongoing issue with a laser.
Two other parties decided to make it their business as well.
If you've seen these two other parties around the forum before, you would know why they -repped you.

TJ is like this all the time. Don't take any notice of it, it's just the way he goes about on the forum.
Personally I think you're talking this -rep too seriously. It's only rep and you're still in the positive.

They are the most threatening type :p

Re: Tech_Junkie - Posing Threats?

Bottom line I dont neg rep for nothing. He is just pissed I would not explain to him why I repped him, and when I did answer, in my usual way, he went ballistic LMAO.

Its a rep point get over it, and I dont have to explain myself. If you dont like it, oh well. But making a thread over it is ridicules, and juvenile. Its funny you actually thought people cared, like I was ripping you off or something. Its only a rep point, and when the system lets me you're getting another. Unless you just let it go.

Then I'll think about it.

Re: Tech_Junkie - Posing Threats?

thanks for the help, advice, and info, guys. I will heed your advice and just ignore the issue with TJ. Initial post replaced with request to close thread, and brief explanation.

EDIT: just read your latest post, TJ. I appreciate the maturity level with which it was written, and I hope our relations can improve in the future. Thanks again for the support, everyone :yh:

peace & thanks to everyone for their input
