Diode Press Sets

OK they are here the new never before seen 3.8mm diode extractor press :D

Made from 303 Stainless Steel :)

With a 3.8mm diode sitting in it>

They are $15.00 each unless you get them in a set then there is a discount :)

That's skinny!
You are NOT going to warranty these, are you?

Peace,
dave

so what would a set with a 9mm extractor, 3.8 extractor, and 3.8 press run? that's all I need to complete my collection.

That would be set No#7 which I haven't listed yet but it will be $38.00 which is $4.00 below there individual price.

You are right there Dave the walls on this are so thin approx .010" that they can give way with more than a few tens of pounds of pressure, I have pressed two diodes with the first one
and it seemed to do a fine job even though both times the diodes were off to one side causing the extractor to force it's way between the diode can and the copper wall of the module.

I tried this with two different copper modules and it was the same result with both modules, just a little pressure is all that was needed to remove the small 3.8mm diode from it's pocket.

As for warranty I would have to say NO for right now.

I will do some more testing but I believe they are strong enough to extract a 3.8 mm diode from it's pocket and do it safely for the diode, even though they are made from 303 stainless Steel
I would not bet it could survive a drop of 4 feet to the ground on concrete though

Hey flaminpyro, how much is all of them except the 5.6mm press?

Thanks,
Isaac

I feel special! :D Haha, I will let you know. Car shop wants $1132 from me today, so may be a week or three.

Might be bumping something old here.
I'm interested in one 5.6mm diode press.
Will this work fine on non aixis housings that aren't threaded?

The thing is people told me to use the back of a aixis module but I think that the diode will be flush with this housing as the diode normally sat in a lot further then just around the edge.

The back of and Aixiz module will work some what but it will not really set the diode below the surface or all the way forward in it's pocket.

There is no real substitute for a good and proper diode press and it's a lot safer for the diode with a proper press !

Think about it for $15.00 you can prevent ruining a good $50.00 laser diode

I'm more then fine with the 15$
but it's the 30$ shipping fee that comes on top of it that kinda kills it :(

You must have me mixed up with some other guy selling diode press sets because I can send you a full set for only $8.00 shipping cost ;)

If your having troubles with the buttons please let me know and I'll be happy to help you.

@ luxophile Thank you for saying so

One press set ordered. It may not be enough to appease Dr. Evil, but I did owe you as much for yanking
your chain. Besides, I need a press for 9mm and a 3.8mm may come in handy someday. It turns out the
MS V2 doesn't need a brass ring anyway. There is no room.

The presses should be showing up any day now :)

Thanks every one for all the kind words I do like to help people find the best products available :yh:

I have come up with a new diode press for the 5.6 laser diode that extracts the diode, it is less
complicated to make and since it is easer to make the cost will be less also :D

5.6mm diode extractor press.

Thanks again to every one who has bought presses from me over the years
