Diode better than LPC-815

Hello everyone,
until now for my laser on my cnc pantograph drive I used the LPC-815 (250-300mW at 429mA). Now I wonder if there are better diodes, still red and single mode. Thanks

There are some new flat plastic red diodes with a higher rated power (f.ex from the bluray 8x and 12x drives), but little is known about them. Other than that there are red DPSS systems.

Well not to say a better diode but there is a lens to give you more power out of you diode.

This lens will get you around 25% more power out of your current laser.
so if your output power is 300 then with this lens it will be 375.
it is a low loss lens, meaning it lets more light threw it.
So it would be a good improvement and investment but it seems red lasers have stopped getting more powerful.
So first try a better lens and if that dose not do the trick get another laser and combine the beams. you would have 2 400mw red lasers giving you around 800mw you cant ask for more than that.in theory you could keep combining diodes but why do you need more power?
Also you could over drive them and use a tech cooler to keep the laser cool, red lasers are cheap so buy a spare and keep pushing until you get the power you want.
tec coolers are around 10-20$ depending on the size you want.

From what you tell me, not the red lasers are evolving towards 400mW. Therefore, the solution is to use a lens Meredith, perhaps modified forms Aixiz. Can you give me more information on using more diodes combined? What is BPS-Cube? There are affordable, I guess is an optical bench for laser diodes.
Some details about the "tech coolers" are around $ 10-20. Do you refer to cells peltier? Thanks to all, a very good input to my update.

well actually, there are multimode C-mount diodes that produce 1W and more, but its just too much hassle and thats why most members here don't bother with it.

And I recommend paying for your TEC coolers with cash from an ATM machine. Just remember to use the right PIN number when you get your money from the ATM machine. (Sorry, I just couldn't resist)

TEC, ATM, and PIN are all acronyms, respectively meaning thermoelectric cooling, automated teller machine, and personal identification number. Kiyoukan made the very common mistake of using an acronym along with the word the acronym signifies. He said "TEC cooling", which literally means "thermoelectric cooling cooling", making it redundant. I made a joke about this, bringing up other similar commonly misused phrases, "PIN number" = "personal identification number number" and "ATM machine" = "automated teller machine machine".

But yeah you will only need a small one but if your crazy you can get a 4in tec there great. but a good 1-2in one will do.
