Dilda V1 & Dilda V2 Review

Hold on, I'll get my camera and update this post with something that will make you say "wtf..."

Mine is obviously different for some reason. Also notice the lack of any o-rings on the head? Another thought is the head shouldn't be textured since the lens assembly rotates on it...

Another thing...my dilda's tube is the exact same on both ends. Hollow tube with threads at each end. I might have reversed the tube when I put it back together but it doesn't matter one bit.

*EDIT* Talked to susie, she's paying my shipping to send it back, because of wrong head, no o-rings, and missing contact on charger. Business is business and these things happen sometimes. I will definitely order from her again and I do not totally blame her for this.

I still have to figure out how to open the Dilda V2 ... BTW the camera I use is a Nikon D40.

Thanks for the extra pics! Please don't break your V2 on my behalf...  :-[ I hope your V1 driver was mounted a bit straighter than mine... ::)

The D40's quite a nice camera. Did you use the AF-S 60 for those macros...?

It looks like the laser with the board is installed through the battery tube not through the front.

Actually my D40 uses the stock lens that came with my camera a 18-55mm lens.

The D40 has a feature called trimming where you can zoom in on any picture you take and when you are satisfied make another copy. It's very easy to use. All my pictures are hand held except the laser beam shot where I use a tripod.

This is the Kenometer readings of the Dilda V1 & Dilda V2.

I took these readings with fully charged batteries.

I used Unprotected DLG 300mAh  RCR2's in the Dilda V1. The DLG's charged at 4.19V

I used Juice RCR2's in the Dilda V2. The Juice's charged at 4.11V

Left, Unprotected DLG 300mAh.        Right, Juice RCR2

I took the readings at 1 minute.

Hi,
Are the batteries, who come with the Dilda, protected ones - Or do I have to be frightened of theirs exploding? ;)

Thanks.

For the low price of the Dilda plus batteries plus charger... I don't
think they would include the more expensive Protected Batteries... :-?

I found out from Susie that the batteries included with the Dilda V2 are Unprotected RCR2's.

Re: Dilda V1 & Dilda V2 Review

What batteries are safe to use with these lasers, and where can I buy them? Some people are saying to boost power, use 3.6V batts instead of the 3.0 batts Suzie sends with the laser. Where can I get 3.6/3.7V Batteries, are they safe to use with the laser, and will the charger Suzie gives with the laser work for the 3.6/3.7 batts?

Thanks in advance.
