Dealextreme - hurry up already!

I've had a few experiences with these people.

1st time:
Their site never showed it had shipped, it just said "order received" and I waited because it was the Chinese new year and all that stuff. It was February and it still showed "payment received" so I thought they'd never ship it, I waited two more days, the first of those two days I got my item! :san: it was a nice surprise

2nd time:
After my first experience I had constantly spoken with their customer support (huge challenge) and I kept asking to hurry my order up, they shipped it in 8 days and it got here 3 weeks later :D

I would only use them if I'm not in a rush :p if I need it fast I always try to get it from north America :)

Both order I've placed with DX took about 4 weeks to arrive. They both sat for about 3 weeks after placing the order then took about 5-6 days to reach me once they shipped.

Its the DX roulette - packages take anywhere between 6 days and 6 weeks to arrive but most of them eventually do :)

Yes. the delivery time is roulette but the delivery itself is always a non issue for me.
I have ordered more than 50 packages from DX and every package had arrived at my door.

I noticed lately that more packages are registered mail. You have to sign for the delivery.
I don't know how this business model is still profitable. Even an order of $15-$20 is registered mail.

I usually break up my orders into smaller chunks so that they can send stuff out separately. It's odd though, sometimes they'll ship out stuff really fast, other times not so much. I even got an oscilloscope really quickly from the, where other people reported waiting months on end. Yes, it really is DX Roulette, but at least the shipping is free!
