You won't lose money
I once ordered 4$ worth of stuff, Never reached me even after 2 months.
DX refunded me.
Since then I always use registered tracking number.
Its free if you order above 20$ worth of stuff, and costs 1.5$ if you don't
I always go with this option.
With tracking number it takes 2-3 weeks for stuff to get to India

I got batts from both fasttech and banggood after the "ban". One of them used the around the world registered mail and the other came wrapped in tin foil. Both arrived after a while, I think your chances of receiving the batts are much higher than 1% :)

Buying from China = 2 weeks to 3 months wait. At least here.

On the bright side they are honest people and will refund/resend if you don't receive a product/receive DOA.

wrapped in TIN FOIL!?!? That seems like a bomb waiting to happen...which, if i remember correctly, is what mail services are trying to prevent, hence the battery ban...

I think he means the gray antistatic bags. They won't conduct electricity.

Let me explain: I received two batts in that "ultrafire" plastic box, which was wrapped in kitchen tin foil and placed on the envelope. There was no way for the batts to make contact with the aluminium.

You are also ordering Li-Ion batteries which have been STOPPED from leaving china. Idk why no one has read the numerous posts about batteries not being able to ship from china anymore unless its via express or registered mail WHILE inside a device.

EDIT: look at it this way, . . . so how do you think a smaller Li-Ion battery is safer to travel in an airplane? Its not, Li-Ion batteries are dangerous to transport and if not handled properly will explode/catch fire. This is also why we don't recommend cheap ultrafire or no name batteries.....its just not worth it

The original problem with lithium cells in a cargo aircraft,
was due to improper packaging of loose cells.

The Chinese disguised cell shipments for a while, but now they have to sign off that lithium ion cells ARE NOT in their shipments or they can face jail time. Shipments are also X-Rayed to insure compliance.

Name brand cells meeting UL 1642 standards, and packaged correctly have minimum risk. Meanwhile, the supply of 18650 cells in the US has flown off the shelves.

I am receiving alternative carrier shipments, but they are taking more time to arrive.

My last order from FT had the cells in the 18650 plastic hardcase, then wrapped in bubble wrap and finally wrapped again in tinfoil.
