Agreed
He is just trying to buy his time until it's too late for you to do anything about it.
You need to demand your money back now.

Yeah, he's jerking your chain. This kid lies so hard he probably believes himself. Tell him to refund your money or you're taking legal action.

Is there anything that Tyler doesn't have an answer for?...

Hi all there , well i,already have undertaken some action , tnx for advising , i will get this handled of vey soon , he,s having all needed parts for two weeks now ( for u dave ) , so it should be finished and shipped already to me , but he,s not finishing it in this moment , so i will continue the actions i ve already started , tnx guy,s .........carlo

I couldn't find a Diana Sweet obit anywhere that died 3-4 days ago.

He is a drug addict lying punk, and couldnt afford a lawyer if his life depended on it. I'd tell him you want it by a certain date, and if it is not shipped you are going ahead with legal action. Make sure he sends it insured, and with confirmation.

If it was me, I'd tell him I want my money back or I'd seek legal action immediately. Then use the money to buy the parts, and have one of our fine builders build it for you. You would get it done right, done fast, and they back up their work.

Hold on, if this guy is capable of lying that his own mother died... He definetly needs help.
I can almost feel sorry for the guy about his mother, but seeing all the posts saying he is know liar and no obit is found... that brings up the ALMOST part.
OP: Ask a refund immediately.

Yeah, Ryan (Sightfx) will put one of those things together cheap and even sells the parts for it. Ryan seems like a really nice guy too. He sells the kit for $150, +$75 to align the mirrors for you. That $225. Figure u get FireMyLaser's white fusion driver for $60 for a total of $285. Now all you need are the lasers. That should cost about another $100-120 (Ryan sells the lasers too). That's about $400 roughly. Get a 405-G-1 lens from him for the bluray and you have your build for less than $500 shipped.

If you're worried, politely but firmly ask for a refund. I got nothing searching for an obituary on either obituaries.citizen-times.com or People Search | Background Check | Reverse Cell Phone Lookup - Intelius.com, the nearest and only "result" was an Anna Sweetman in 2007. You could ask someone in the US to make the call to Tyler on your behalf. Make sure the person will be polite and not get angered, no matter what, make sure it is recorded, and that Tyler is aware it is being recorded (for legal reasons).

In the US, depending on the state you're in, you may not have to notify the other party that the call is being recorded. Telephone recording laws - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
There are only 12 "two party notification states":

California
Connecticut
Florida
Illinois
Maryland
Massachusetts
Michigan
Montana
Nevada
New Hampshire
Pennsylvania
Washington

The rest of the states are "one party notification states" meaning that if you know you're recording the call, but the other person doesn't, that's just fine because you are one of the parties.

great help here , fine guys , its making me happy to see , well , in this moment i did send him a request for refunding , or a statement , and i informed his bank already , also a investigation on him is running , the build is for me and my friend frank , wich has plans with that white laser for some experiments , i am a radio engineer and frank has a small compagnie , whe have some ideas to experiment with , modulating lightwaves with different colors , that the whole idea behind it, so frank has might anough with his lawner, to fit this matter , however , i will need some help in a later stage for finalizing the build of this laser wich isnt my speciality .... i keep informing .... tnx carlo

I think things might be different coming from his website. Now I still wouldn't trust him, but I don't think he'll scam you on something like a flexdrive. Now he could be selling you a used one or something, who knows, but I bet it gets to you. It's just my thinking that if he only lists one of something, that he probably never meant to sell it in the first place. After all, he wouldn't order 1 flexdrive at a time to sell, but who knows. However, I wouldn't file a paypal claim so soon, you do have 45 days I think to file one.

When you say he might be selling something used, he sold me a O-like module with the switch jumped.. I didnt even ask!

I've realised how wrong I was in defending him in the ban-polls too. He has my $170 and haven't responded to mails in two weeks+, the last mail i got from him denied my request to get a refund and asked me to "wait a little longer", again.

This is normal. If the module comes with a button and the host has a switch, you simply jump the button so that you can turn it on and off with the host's switch.

Peace,
dave

But why selling it as unused? As far as I can see, the module was supposed to be new (or used only a little)... but not removing a jumper before selling it is really dumb.

Maybe I've assumed something incorrectly. Are you saying the module was NOT in a laser? If it was not in a laser, then it had no reason to have the jumper installed. If it was NOT in a laser then you are probably correct. He removed it from another laser to sell to you.

Peace,
dave

Well the first thing you assumed incorrectly is that I did not buy any modules, it was this guys post up a bit I was refering to, and as far as I can see it was supposed to be only a module...
