Customs SUCKS

Update: After a trip to the customs facility in LA I was deferred to the DHL customs facility in LA who have been able to help me. I sent them a copy of my SS Card and they had me send a FDA form to my supplier. My supplier filled it out and I emailed it to my broker in LA and it would seem that the ball is now rolling. I may get my lasers after all!!!!

Yeah I was pissed. It was not the loss of the cam but the tape that pissed me off. I had my whole vacation on it. If I would have caught that kid he would have ate the camcorder. I found out later this crap happens all the time. So they don't open doors because they don't want conflicts. And these mini Euro cops were accusing me of lying and were not going to do anything. I was insane. /[End Rant] Still am I guess...

Which country was it? Sadly, a lot of Europe has become a bunch of sissy states.
 
Amsterdam. They take the word liberal way to literally. As long as no one is physically hurt they turn a blind eye to everything.
 
Okay. So for us customs. is it a YES or NO answer that you could get a laser out of it? Im soo confused!
 
YES......BoBLasers provided me with the ascension number for their devices. I in turn sent that along to DHL imports who sent that along to customs. Then customs said the ascension number did not match the manufacturer (assuming the actual manufacturer name was boblasers SOOOOoooo I then got the FDA certificate from boblasers with the manufacturer name and the ascension number on the same document. This was emailed to the DHL imports lady yesterday and sent off to customs today or yesterday. I am currently waiting to find out if all of that shit was legit. If so then I will be receiving my long awaited package. If not then I will try and have it sent back to the supplier but will likely have to forfeit the package to customs. I will know for sure sometime this week whether or not I will ever receive this package.

Update: The package is now out of custom's hand. It is now in the hands of an FDA investigator who I am assuming will verify the laser's compliance (test the outputs and verify paperwork) Hopefully they won't take 60 days to send it along like customs did.
 
Accesion number does not match manufacturer. Faxing document with manufactur name and accesion number. We'll see if they budge.
Just so everyone knows they are trying their very best to get a hold of and destroy (give to their friends) all laser pointers being imported. Read this fun little article on their website. Radiation-Emitting Products

Usually I have overlap so that I am not out of stock of anything ever but this time customs screwed me. I have not posted any for sale as I do not have them but rather I am waiting. Yobresal - what company did you order these lasers from? Sometimes companies can be on a watch list
 
ouch that sucks, so...are these lasers of any decent quality? if so most will get "destroyed" won't they? ...like a 5mW outputting 6mW would be over the limit and not delivered to you....am i correct in this assumption?
 
I won't get any of them. Boblasers doesn't have the ascesion number for FDA approval for importation or some shit.
