Custom Host for O-Like Module

man if you could make this with a side switch like the rpl that would be so so so cool:crackup:

I'd really like it if you could do Mohrenberg's idea, they'd look a bit better (although they're awesome already :)). Also, how are people building these with an aixiz? I know the case negative is achieved soldering the lead neg. wire to the aixiz case but how do you add a spring with the case on? Do you cut the end of the case? (And where do you get the springs :p?).

I use mine just with the top of the aixiz housing, with the driver soldered directly to the pins, and just attach a spring to the positive input to contact the positive end of the battery.

These hosts are great! they look/feel so cool... and they look intimidating! I wish there were more in stock.

I'd like to soon stock these hosts for sale on Darklaser if the creator wouldnt mind. I would buy 25+ of them or so at a time, and sell them for whatever the creator deems fit.

Sound good guys? that way maybe these will be available more often. so if Ehgemus runs out, I will have them in stock. /

i will also offar an RPL + o-like module combo kits. 30mW-200mW kits availabe soon :)

They will be by FAR the easiest DIY green kit you could immagine. you literaly slide the module in, put the battery in, and turn it on! I will even "jumper" the on/off switch to make it always on (this is needed) So they would Also be No Solder Kits!

Hows that sound?

niko, take a look at this pic, its a module from moh, this is his method for isolating a positive contact point on the back of an aixiz module so it may be used in these RPL hosts

Right in the center a little wire sticks up. this is the positive wire, and it is surrounded by an epoxy spacer ring he made somehow. all you have to do is find a small 3-4mm round peice of metal and solder it to that wire. thus making a contact point isolated from the host AND module. This is how i always do it.

Hope that helps ^_^ and you could use a spring instead of a small metal plate if you so desire, both will work.

If you want a 200mw o-like module you should contact Susie directly from the o-like site. She will then notify you and a few other people that are waiting when the is 1-3 units available. I think she will then sell them to whoever buys them first. That's how it worked for me, but you may want to wait until more power tests are done on these because it is unsure whether these units are much better than the 150mw modules. I don't have a laser power meter, but I do know its bright as hell.

Yea I did email her, she said she'd let me know. I'm gonna wait till I get my LPM for that very reason, I want to make sure I'm getting what I'm paying for.
