Radiant Electronics is pleased to announce an upcoming product - The Radiant Mini™ USB power meter system :)

Datalogging is a must for any serious laser enthusiast and the Mini system is designed to bring logging capability at a great price. This system is geared towards those that are on the road with laser show equipment who have laptops available who might need to fine tune their equipment before a show, or the hobbyist who would like to graph the power output of their lasers on a budget, with some of the best software available.

The Radiant Mini will use the same thermal power sensor design featured in the Alpha series laser power meters.

Expected Retail Price: $129.95
Estimated release date: 2-3 weeks

Radiant Mini Features:
3 Watt Power Capacity
0.1mW Power Resolution
Powered directly by the USB Bus, no batteries needed
Onboard LED Status Indicators
Upgrade to Radiant’s new SensorShield™ coating for an additional $49.95

Details on the SensorShield™ coating:
We’ve been hard at work developing a new sensor coating to withstand extreme power density and have come up with the SensorShield™ coating - offering over 7 times the damage threshold of the original coating, Radiant Electronics now boasts the highest power density rating of any hobbyist level sensor.

Already own an Ophir thermopile or a power meter without datalogging capability? The Mini logging system will be available for purchase separately.
Compatible meters:
Ophir 20C-A-1-Y thermopiles (requires +/- 8-12v power supply)
Original Kenometers
Kenometer Lites
Nospin LPMs (may require noise filtering due to DC/DC converters used)
Radiant Alphas

A general guide will be included to show how to connect and modify the power meters above.

Questions? Comments? We would love to hear from you, send a PM to MarioMaster or email to questions@radiantelectronics.com

Sincerely,
Brad & Alex

Thats what I was thinking. I think he should hire some 12 year old to build it.

@ MM

Not sure if you have been following threads on LPF lately, but ripping ideas from
others is a pretty crappy thing to do. :tsk:

Perhaps an original idea is in order for your 'new release' ?

Hey Wannaburn,

Thanks for your comments. We pride ourselves on developing new and innovative products for the laser hobbyist, such as the Radiant Mini, which has power reading capability up to 3 watts in power, as well as the optional SensorShield™ coating, which has the highest damage threshold of any hobbyist grade laser power meter TEC-based sensor. The Radiant Mini also comes in kit form for those that just want a solution to add data logging to their current LPM.

You can expect to see SensorShield(TM) come standard in a future release of our next major premium LPM.

I should also mention our Datalogging software, its pretty nice. More details are to come on that in a future post when we get closer to launch day.

If you have any ideas that you would like to see us bring to market, feel free to email us at sales@radiantelectronics.com.

Thanks,
Brad
